How we became the Dulcimer Boys

Norm Williams and Cliff Cole were first called The Dulcimer Boys when playing as a duo at a Kutztown Folk Music Society concert (thanks Keith Brintzenhoff). The name stuck.

Rob’s vocals and many instruments have helped round out the group. The Dulcimer Boys’ varied backgrounds crisscross several musical traditions including a-cappella songs, Appalachian folk hymns, Old-Time, Celtic, and Country Blues.

Adding to those traditional styles, they perform their own original tunes as well, all played with a
deep and lively flare.
